How to do a quick weave

How to do a Quick Weave hairstyle ?

whether your hair is wet or dry does not matter this will be a closed in quick weave, which means we will see none of your real hair.

Take the pro style hair gel and apply it all over the hair until it is evenly dispursed comb the gel into the hair and make a pony tail in the very back or you can also wrap the hair with the gel, whichever you would feel most comfortable with.

once the formation of the hair is dne you can now take the paper hair wrap of neckties and lay them over your hair while spraying the Spritz until the whole head is basically covered.

Now that the hair is wet and covered with paper you can blow dry the hair until it is semi dry.

Take the wave cap and place it over the head. Then you can finish blow drying until the hair is dry and hard.

Now it is time to begin applying the weave. Take the track of weave and measure out how much is needed for the back of the head, then cut the track.

Take the hair bondage glue and apply a line of it onto the track, not too much Apply the track and hold for about five seconds on both ends.

If it seems like it is not holding, apply more pressure and blow dry with the hand held blow dryer Repeat this step until you reach the crown of the head.

Now you can begin to glue the hair in a circle at the top of the head. Once you reach the very top and there is a very small space left, you can take about 1 1/2 inch of the track and apply glue Fold the track in half and roll it so that it is a small bundle.

Then put enough glue to cover the bundle and stick it in the open space Style as desired! ;)

Place the tracks in the same fashion as Step 4 until you reach the crown of your head.

At the crown of your head place the tracks on scalp in a circular pattern.

Comb hair and style as desired And go rock the house for the night:).

How to do a invisible part

How to Create an Invisible Part Sew-in Weave ?

Make an Invisible Part Sew In Weave:

Wash and dry your natural hair. Looking in a mirror, part the front of your hair accordingly to your style of choice.

For example, if you want a part down the middle, then make your part as close to the middle as possible, however if you want your part slanted or on the side, then part it that way.

This part will be the only part of your hair showing, so make it neat.Braid your hair going toward the back in cornrows Start in the front where you made your part.

Continue all the way until your whole head is completely braided Thread the weaving needle and attach the loose ends of the cornrows to the base of your braid using a basic stitch sewing method. There should be no ends of the braids hanging.

Sew in your hair extensions by measuring the hair extension across the rows of braids.

Cut the extension to fit that area Hold the extension with your non dominant hand and begin sewing the hair unto the braid using the basic stitch method with your dominant hand.

Once you reach the end, make a loop in the thread to form a knot. Continue this process all the way up until you have no cornrows showing.

Apply holding gel to the portion of your hair that is showing around the part. Using a blow dryer, dry that area completely.

For extra protection, spray the area with holding spray and allow to dry The products in styling gels and holding sprays protect your hair from becoming damaged from the weaving glue.

Cut the remaining hair extensions into approximately thirty 1-inch strips Depending upon the size of your head you may need more or less Taking one strip of extension at a time, lightly cover the weft with weaving glue. Wait 10 seconds to allow the glue to become tacky.

Starting ½ inch above your hairline, firmly lay the extension on top of the natural hair, that is surrounding the part in your hair that will remain visible.

Lie the extension pieces in a slightly slanted side-to-side formation. Do not cover the part; the part is the only area that should remain visible Each strip should go directly above the other one in the same direction.

Continue this process on both sides of the part Comb the hair down to cover the wefts It should appear that the hair is growing out of your scalp, thus creating an invisible part.

image of makes a sew-in look natural and neat.

Creating an invisible part with a sew-in weave is a great way to get that natural look.

Wearing hair extensions with an invisible part is also a great protective style, because your natural hair does not have to be left out to cover the extensions. Therefore, there will not be any need to use any hot irons or curlers on your natural hair.Prolonged use of these items can damage your hair and burn your scalp, which is bad if you want to maintain the healthiness of your hair.

How to do a hair wrap

How to Make a Hairwrap ?

Hair wraps are popular with tweens and teenagers, and they’re easy to make Kids can get as creative with them as they want, putting in their own style and personality. You don’t have to pay 20 dollars for a professional wrap. Here’s how to do it yourself.

Braiding the Hair:
Choose a small piece of hair toward the front; it should be visible from the front and the side view. Make it as thick or thin as you like, keeping in mind the more hair, the longer it will take and the more material you will need.

Put the section of hair you have chosen into a ponytail with a small hair elastic.

Pull the rest of the hair out of the way by clipping it in the back.

Braid the small section of hair tightly; put another elastic around it to secure it.

Wrapping the Hair:

Choose the colors of embroidery floss you would like to use usually one to four colors Anymore than four and it starts getting too thick.

Cut one strand of each color until it is a little more than twice the size of the length of the braided hair.

Lay them out so they are side by side and grab them in a bunch in the middle of the strands Tie them all together as one onto the top of the ponytail at the base You should now have two strings of each color hanging down from the base of the braid.

Add beads as you go and/or a charm at the top by threading them into the floss.

Wrap the floss around the braid tightly, one color at a time alternating between colors When wrapping with one color, wrap both strands around the braid and the other strands of floss, holding the other strands and the braid together. Get creative with your pattern and make it any way you like.

Add charms or beads to the end of the wrap if you like Once you reach the end, double knot your thread tightly and cut it Now you have a hair wrap that you can wear in your hair for days.

picture of beaded hair accessory

To add beads, make a U shape out of the bead wire, and place it around the hair Slide the beads onto both wires, and pull the hair (and floss) through the beads Move the beads below the wrapped hair.

Double knot the floss to hold the beads in place. When you are ready to change colors, pick up another color of floss and begin wrapping with it. We changed floss color after we put on beads Continue wrapping and adding beads until you are almost at the bottom of your hair strand.

When you have finished the wrap, double-knot the floss to hold the wrap and the beads in place. Trim the ends of the floss to match the ends of your hair length Or, if you’d prefer, trim the ends of the floss at the knot.

How to do false eyelashes

How to Use False Eyelashes ?

Decide what look you’re seeking A full set of false eyelashes adds high drama to your evening appearance or returns the eyelashes that may have disappeared due to illness Little clumps of fake lashes on the outside corners of your eyes create a subtle, sophisticated glamour.

Choose a color that complements the occasion For evening, stick to black (or dark brown if you have pale lashes), which adds drama without requiring mascara In the daytime, go dark brown (light brown or blond if you have pale lashes) for a natural look.

Check their length Full lashes should follow the natural line of your own lashes Trim them with sharp scissors to accommodate your needs.

Begin with clean eyes, free of makeup or debris.

Hold the lashes in your hand and apply a very thin line of glue or adhesive along the base; let it sit for 1 minute Begin with a minimal amount of glue, adding more if needed.

Look into a mirror, either on the wall or placed on a countertop Apply the false lashes above your eyelashes, as close to your lash line as possible, following its natural curve.

Adjust the lashes with your fingertips, tweezers or a toothpick.

If you’re using lash clumps, place them at the outside corners of your upper lashes (one or two per eye should suffice) Adjust their position with a toothpick, fingers or tweezers.

Apply eye makeup You may find your new lashes dramatic enough without mascara, so take a good look in the mirror first.

Practice a few times before your debut This is a challenging beauty trick to master, but a dress rehearsal should make for a smash opening.

Over at The Fashion Police yesterday, we were talking about men who want to wear tights Today, though, it would appear it’s not just our tights the menfolk are after  no, they want our false eyelashes too. Or rather, they want some false eyelahses of their own

Luckily for them, Eyelure have risen to the challenge, creating their Natural Lashes for Men, which are basically the same as the false eyelashes they make for women, but a little more natural looking, and with a virtually clear strip along the base, so there’s no tell tale false lashline.

Eyelure say, “The male grooming market is increasing one and a half times faster than the women’s market as men start to realise that looks do count! With mainstream cosmetic brands bringing out ranges specifically for men, Eyelure believe the time is right to introduce men to the wonders of lashes which ladies have benefited from for over 60 years”.

image of rightRed eyelash extensions

eyelash extensions add length, thickness and fullness to natural eyelashes Synthetic single fiber polyester thread like materials are applied to individual eyelashes to create a fuller, longer look.citation needed The adhesive used is surgical grade This type of eyelash enhancement is not the same as department store strip lashes. Extensions come in various lengths, colors and thicknesses, and can be worn during sleep, showering and swimmingcitation needed However, excessive exposure to oil can weaken adhesive bond Eyelash extensionsdiffer from “fake” or “false” eyelashes in that they are applied one extension to one lash The procedure to attach the extensions takes an average of one and a half to two hours for a full set of extensions of roughly 30-80 lashes per eye If properly applied with medical grade adhesive, eyelash extensions are designed to bond to one’s natural eyelash.

Use False Eyelashes

Sometimes it’s fun to go for glamour with false eyelashes. Whether you apply a few singles to create a subtle change, or full lashes for optimal drama, you may want to practice first: this can be one of the trickier beauty enhancers.

How to do fake tattoos

How to Make a Fake Tattoo ?
Instructions:

Find a picture of the tattoo you want to use. It should be simple without too much detail Black-and-white line drawings work well There are many sources for tattoo art including tattoo parlors, craft stores and various websites Some online sources charge a small fee like Tattoo Johnny, while others are free, such as Tattoo Job (see Resources).

Trace an outline of the picture onto tracing paper with a tattoo pencil. These pencils actually contain ink and can be purchased in craft stores. Cut around the image you’ve traced, leaving about inch-wide space around the edges.

Apply deodorant to the skin where the tattoo will go. Place the cutout tracing paper onto that area, ink-side down Press down firmly and evenly on the paper so the entire image transfers onto the skin.

Peel the paper off the skin carefully Outline the image on the skin with a black fine-point permanent marker The tracing paper only puts a light image onto the skin, so the lines need to be darkened with a marker.

Color the tattoo with fine-point permanent markers Do not color in completely to the center of each section, because the ink will spread

You just need to color each section from inside the line edges to about halfway from the center.

Spray a small amount of alcohol over the tattoo Dip one end of a cotton swab into rubbing alcohol and blend the colored areas to make some parts look faded Simply rub the swab from the edge of the colored area toward the center of the area and repeat until the color bleeds to the center Real tattoos have a faded appearance, and blending achieves that effect by bleeding and fading the colors.

Outline the tattoo lines to sharpen their appearance Real tattoos usually have darker edges. Because the alcohol fades the edges, you need to darken them again with the black marker.

Apply translucent powder over the tattoo with a makeup brush Any kind of translucent face powder works, but one popular brand is Ben Nye Neutral Set Translucent colorless powder, available in many theater and costume supply stores This last step makes the tattoo ink appear to be beneath the skin, like a real tattoo.

image of Turn a black-and-white design into a temporary tattoo

Tattoos have been around for centuries A real tattoo is a permanent form of body art made by injecting ink into the upper layers of skin. Some people get tattoos at a young age and regret it when they get older Although permanent tattoos can be removed, the process can be expensive and not always successful Rather than risking that, opt for a fake, temporary tattoo They last a few days and then fade away This is great for costume parties, for children or for people curious about getting permanent tattoos Realistic-looking fake tattoos can be created with simple fine-point markers.

picture of Tattoo on skin and equipment

Tattoos are also placed on animals, though very rarely for decorative reasons Pets, show animals, thoroughbred horses and livestock are sometimes tattooed with identification and other marks Pet dogs and cats are often tattooed with a serial number (usually in the ear, or on the inner thigh) via which their owners can be identified Also, animals are occasionally tattooed to prevent sunburn (on the nose, for example) Such tattoos are often performed by a veterinarian and in most cases the animals are anesthetized during the process Branding is used for similar reasons and is often performed without anesthesia, but is different from tattooing as no ink or dye is inserted during the process.

How to do fake dreads

I’ve always thought dreadlocks were too cool Just look at it, there’s something about it! However, you gotta admit that the maintenance or lack of it does make this somehwat of an unhygienic hairstyle.

I remember a guy in my Science class back in high school had dreadlocks and I thought they were badass until one day when I was talking to him I noticed something moving in his hair (I’d also throw bits of paper into his hair since I was sitting behind him, but that’s another story, hehe) The dirt and messiness of it put me off of ever trying this style out myself, but I still love the look of it! So for anyone who’s a bit like me and not willing to take the plunge into dreadlocks, you can always fake this look for a day Here’s how.

Step 1: Preparation.

Start by dividing dry hair in half, from your ear downwards and clip, leaving one section the section that you will start working on loose. Clip the very top section of your hair up and away from your face.

Step 2: Load up on hair gel.

With the lose section ready to be ‘done’ up, take 1 inch sections of the hair (or if you want smaller dreads, 0.5 inches) and apply a quarter coin size of strong hair gel (The men in my life all recommend Gatsby for the best hold!).

Step 3: Teasing it up!

Once that section of hair is full of hair gel, roll it between your palms, as if you’re making a play doh snake (you remember how to do that from your childhood, right) Roll them until they are fairly stuck together Allow to dry for a split second (maybe 10 section) and then take a fine-toothed comb From the tip of your hair to your roots, gently tease the rolled up pieces of hair going upwards, to messy the style a bit more. Let dry.

Step 4: Repeat, repeat, repeat!

Do the same with every section of hair until your whole head is full of your lovely fake dreads!

Synthetic dreads, also called dread extensions, dread falls, and cyberlocks, are interlocked coils of synthetic hair, mostly kanekalon, that give the look and feel of natural dreadlocks without the commitment or maintenance. They are mainly worn as a fashion statement for the subculture of cybergoth and cyberpunk.

Cybergoth fashion and culture got its label in 1988 in the United Kingdom based on science fiction, and got its name from “Dark Future”, a miniwar game Mixed with both influences from America and the United Kingdom’s versions of techno and other electronic music, cybergoths tend to dress in bright colors, neon lights, lots of plastic, loud, or costume jewelry known as “kandi” and one of the most essential items is fake hair Synthetic dreads or falls are most commonly seen in the cybergoth and cyberpunk fashion and are easily accessorized with LED threads of light, yarn, wool, tubed crin, beads and more.

Dread extensions can be braided, sewn, or wrapped into natural hair. With proper maintenance extensions can last up to 4 months, sometimes longer depending on how fast the hair grows and creates looseness at the scalp Dread extensions come in single and double ended Single ended means the synthetic hair is created with the loop on the top so that natural hair can slide through and then be braided or wrapped onto the dread, then tied off with a rubber band or thread.

Double ended is twice the length of a single and folded in half to create the look of “two dreads in one” Only one half of the dread is braided or wrapped into the hair while the other half hangs loose, giving a more realistic appearance because there is no braid at the top on half of the set.

iamge of dreadlocks

that’s just it! It’s a long process and not exactly the most healthy for your hair, but this works temporarily To remove your dreadlocks, in the shower allow conditioner to saturate your hair first, then use a wide tooth comb to gently go through the tangles Next shampoo, condition and rinse off.

How to do fake nails

the most common method seems to be to make them out of the container tube that crazy glue comes in I personally cut the tube into four strips as evenly as I can, then cut pieces off of that sized to my fingernail, then trim the nail-tip to a smooth curve And of course, they are affixed with the crazy glue, just a drop or so The first time I use a new nail, I glue it on, wait for it to dry (maybe 1 min tops with crazy glue) then take it off and re-glue it This seems to help keep the nails from popping off. And, speaking of which, I recently learned the trick of using athletic tape (or something similar) around the back end of the nail, wrapped around the finger, to keep the nail from flying away if it pops off.
As to removing them, the first time or so is a little painful, but you just pry them up from the backside.
Now, on to another nail ….
1/8″ acrylic sheet seriously a local hardware store just GAVE me a pice of scrap about 8″x5″ for free You heat it carefully with a hot air gun (on low power), using bulldogs or tweezers or needle-nose pliers to hold the acrylic in the heat stream It doesn’t take long and will bubble and smell bad if you heat it too much Once warm (which is obvious as it will bend of it’s own accord as it warms enough) you just cut off appropriately sized pieces with scissors Seriously, it gets soft enough you then keep carefully heating and trimming until it’s basically a nail shape Once you have this, you need to curve it to your fingernail DON’T JUST PUT THE HOT ACRYLIC ON YOUR NAIL TO SHAPE IT, HOWEVER!!! Find something around your house curved similarly to your nail, I use a waterproof match case Using a cloth GENTLY, with the acrylic just warm enough to bend, but not cleanly cut, you press the flat onto the curved object to give it a curve close to your nail the crazy glue will fill in imperfections in the curve if it is merely close If you press too hard (with the cloth) you will imprint the cloth pattern into the acrylic, which you will then need to file or heat back out Then you take it to a file for final tip shaping and smoothing There should be no sharp points or edges I’ve learned that with great care and some luck, you can even do it so you don’t have to do any filing, as the heat can (if done right, which IS somewhat difficult, so far) create a smoothly rounded tip just perfectly These are affixed the same way as above, with crazy glue. Also, I find it useful to color the backside/underside of the clear acrylic nail with a marker or something, then apply a coat of crazy glue as protection for the color  this makes the nail considerably easier to find than clear acrylic. I have yet to try making nails from colored acrylic, though I’m sure that would work just fine.

Do you keep nail polish on your fingers and toes year round?

My great-grandmother told me that hands tell a woman’s story and as such they should always dazzle. Fast forward to me today with chipped nail polish, ground down stubs of nails, and shredded cuticles. The only way to avoid this is to go to the salon every week to have them done, because for some reason I lack the gene to put on nail polish. Problem is: I HATE WAITING FOR THEM TO DRY. It is like seriously pulling out teeth to get me in there to have them done.

So short answer: no.

What are your go-to colors for the fingers and toes?

When I do manage to drag myself into the salon to get them done I either opt for deep purple or off kilter colors. Call me crazy, but natural light pink does not do it for me I mean we all know it is fake anyway so why not have some fun with it?

That is why my new obsession is Minx nails You can literally have any pattern, shade, or tint under the sun. No subtle mistakes here that only you can notice and drive you a bit mad Just pure perfection, but it has it’s price just like everything else and you guessed it is a high one Bliss charges $55 for the Minx Manicure, but you can find other locations using Minx’s website. Oh and even better? You can order all sorts of different patterns off of the website.

Any tips for strengthening your nails?

I break mine none stop (stress), but what keeps them coming back for me is vitamin supplements Seriously, selenium is your best friend Whole Foods actually has a supplement to help stimulate nail and hair growth too!

Do you have any nail ‘rules’ you abide by? (things like toe and finger colors must match, should never be the same, trim them all if one break.

image of Tipsy

Artificial nails, also known as fake nails, fashion nails, nail enhancements, or nail extensions, are coverings placed over fingernails as fashion accessories Some artificial nails attempt to mimic the look ofreal fingernails as closely as possible, while other designs may deliberately stray in look from real fingernails Artificial nails are made from a wide variety of materials.

picture of fake nails on toes

There are lots of options for those of us who choose to use nails as an accessory  Some are bold points are view and some are subtle. Some are fake and some are well, not so fake The types of nail enhancements you choose, or don’t, can be a reflection perhaps of your personality, or maybe your profession for sometimes, yes, we are bound by what the massa says, and so even though we may want to wear neon green on our finger nails, that wouldn’t go over very well with Boss Lady.
